Grants Update
Since last month, WDN Action has approved nearly $3,000,000 in c4 grants! Thanks to the collective investment of this network, we are able to continue moving critical funding to support electoral organizing around important local races and initiatives on issues ranging from community safety to climate justice, advocacy and accountability within state legislatures, and cultural and narrative strategies.
Colorado
With Colorado's competitive U.S. House races in 2022 and a new congressional district after redistricting, we are investing in organizing led by young people and women of color on important issues including reproductive justice, climate justice, and immigration.

Georgia
A battleground for voting rights and a critical Senate state, we are continuing to deepen investments in Georgia's statewide progressive ecosystem, with grants this month to support organizing with the fast-growing AAPI community and young people in rural areas.

Michigan
Michigan continues to draw national attention as a state facing major anti-voter bills. While there are no major federal elections in Michigan in 2022, we're funding new and growing organizations that are leading advocacy efforts and building now for 2024.

Minnesota
Minnesota has been at the center of the national conversation over the last year as the epicenter of the political uprisings that erupted after the police murder of George Floyd. We're proud to resource ongoing organizing for police accountability and community safety.

North Carolina
With a competitive 2022 U.S. Senate race and undoubtedly a battleground state again in 2024, our recent funding in North Carolina will support organizations working in both urban and rural areas and across various constituencies.

Texas
Young people are a key constituency to build progressive power in Texas. We're proud to fund two important youth-led organizations that are leading democracy defense, using creative digital tactics, and building for the future in the state.

Virginia
Virginia is a state where there truly are no off-election years. After more than a decade of organizing, Virginia became a blue trifecta state in 2019. Our investments will support organizing for the 2021 Governor’s race and build on the progressive shift in the state.

Wisconsin
Wisconsin will be a major battleground for the U.S Senate in 2022, and there are also important local elections across the state this year. Our funding will support efforts to create a political home for young people, leadership development, and powerful policy advocacy.

We continue to identify projects that are working to create a political environment and public narrative in which Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and AAPI women can run, win, and thrive. From seed funding for a new network for AAPI c4 organizations to gender justice advocacy led by the National Women's Law Center Action Fund, WDN Action is proud to support these national organizations building power across states, working on progressive issue advocacy, and leading cultural and narrative strategies.
