Mindi Laine (she/her)
Vice President, Community & Development
Mindi drives the strategic vision and implementation of our membership experience and revenue growth for WDN Action and is passionate about unlocking the collective power of donor activists.
She brings over two decades of working in philanthropy, collective giving, and community building and has consulted with dozens of organizations to establish or improve their women’s philanthropy programs. Prior to joining WDN Action, Mindi was Senior Managing Director for the Dartmouth College Fund and the inaugural Director of the Centennial Circle, where she built and nurtured a nationally recognized, award-winning women’s leadership philanthropy program for over 300 members.
Her thought leadership has been featured in numerous books and articles, and she has spoken nationally on building collective and transformative women’s giving programs. Mindi also produced the Women’s Philanthropy Institute’s 2023 Symposium; and she served as Campaign Manager for a progressive state senator in Maine, leading the communications, clean election fundraising, and overall reelection strategy.
Mindi holds a B.A. in Sociology and Women & Gender Studies from Wittenberg University and a certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Leeds School of Business. She is deeply engaged in community initiatives as an advisor, board member, and co-chair for organizations dedicated to social justice, gender and racial equity, and community development. Mindi lives in Portland, Maine with her husband, daughter, and two rowdy pets.
