Elizabeth Monaghan (she/her)

Board Member

Elizabeth joined our 501(c)(3) Women Donors Network (WDN) in 2017. She has worked in the arts for twenty-five years as a gallery director, photography editor, and museum trustee. She is the founder and director of Ten Nineteen, a New Orleans art space that explores new ways to approach social, environmental, economic, and political challenges, engaging the arts as both a lens and a catalyst.

Inspired by the work of WDN Action, Elizabeth has a strong interest in advocacy and electoral strategies. She is active in local politics, and she serves on the board of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, where she is Chair of the Development Committee.

Elizabeth grew up in Wisconsin. She received her B.A. in Art History from Duke University and her M.A. in Journalism (Cultural Reporting and Criticism) from New York University. She lives with her husband and two sons in New Orleans and has two grown stepdaughters. She enjoys cooking, reading, live music, travel, and the great outdoors.
